The best thing about being sick is how amazingly good you feel when it's all over!!! I need to remember this on my normal mornings and just appreciate how great it is to wake up and be healthy!
Yesterday I missed a dinner with my long time friends from school that, just like me, ended up living in other countries and were in town on a visit. I was really bummed, but know that I can - and need to - meet up with them soon. Just talking to my friend, Heléne on the phone yesterday made me giggle like when I was back in elementary school (... or maybe worse when we entered middle- or high school!) It felt good...
Today, however, is a day that cannot be repeated or recreated - it's my Grandpa's 95th birthday!!!!! My sweet, sweet "Moffen" (whom has been my Grandma's life partner for as long as I can remember, since my Grandfather died before I was born) is turning NINETY-FIVE and we need to get the kiddoes in the shower and get going to celebrate the day with him.
